5 Reasons Why You Should Start Building A List

If you have been in the Internet Marketing and Online Business industry for quite sometime already, I bet you’ve already read some sites from other Internet Marketers talking about “The Money Is In The List”. In my opinion, YES, the real money when starting an Internet marketing or Online business is the money that comes from your list. So here are the 5 reasons why you should start building a list.

1. You Give More Value

For us entrepreneurs, the main reason why we start a business is not to make money, but to give more value to others and help solve other people’s problems. Money is just the result of it. So when people start signing up or subscribing to your list, you could start giving more value to them and helping them of their problems. Instantly, just through email.

2. Own Your Traffic

Most people that subscribed to your list comes from different traffic source you don’t control. Traffic that could come from Google through Search Engine Optimization, or from Facebook and other Social Networks, or from other people’s websites, blogs or lists. But once you’ve convinced them to sign up to your list, you now own that traffic. Because every time you have something to announce like a new website or a new product, you can immediately bring traffic to that new website just by announcing it to your list.

3. Become The TEA (Trusted Expert Adviser) In Your Niche

If you provided your list with valuable information they need and they want, consistently, your subscribers will start noticing that you are a Trusted Expert Adviser on that particular topic. Your list builds your popularity fast in a certain niche and more and more people will come to trust you.

4. Build Your Fan Base

Once you’ve already given more value to your subscribers and they start loving you, they slowly become your fans. Your goal as a marketer is to build your True Fans. Kevin Kelly explained it best on his article 1000 True Fans. He said that if you just have 1000 True Fans, who will buy anything you recommend, it’s already enough to live a lifetime. :)

This is probably the best part of it.
